All the products that you want to sell online are ready.  You have already signed up with the Google Adsense program or with other affiliate marketing programs and you have already prepared the ad you want to post on your affiliate’s site.  Your mind is now set to being the next most successful online businessman.  But is there anything else that you might have forgotten to prepare?  Maybe none.  But how about your landing pages?  Are they all set for your business?

Landing pages are simply web pages where visitors are directed to whenever they click a result in a web search or whenever they click a web ad.  For affiliate marketing, landing pages would refer to the web page where you, as a merchant, would want your potential customer to be directed after clicking your ad on your affiliate’s website.  Landing pages are, at most times, nothing really different from other web pages in a particular website, especially if the said website is an e-commerce site.  Some online businessmen would even use the homepage of their websites as the landing page for their ads.  Are these businessmen making a big mistake?  Or should you follow their method in creating landing pages for their ads?

Well, you can always follow what most online retailers do, directing their potential customers to the homepages of their websites.  But if you want to achieve something more from your online business, and if you want to earn a lot of profits, you better create a special landing page for your web ads.  Why?  Here are a few reasons why you need to use landing pages for your web ads.  And take note, it would do you a lot better if you create a great landing page than a so-so one.

Reason no. 1: It is the only way you earn conversions in an affiliate marketing program.

Affiliate Cloaking… what IS it and are YOU using it is the question?

That’s right, this question apply’s to everyone who actively promotes other companys products and/or services as an affiliate or is considering it because you could be losing BIG BUCKS from your hard earned affiliate commissions because of those UGLY long affiliate URL’s that scream out… “I’m An Affiliate” and scare your visitors and/or potential customers away.

People are very funny this way online when it comes to first impressions.

As an example, which would you rather do business with?

A business with a URL like…

http://www.corys-cbmall.com

OR…

http://wetrack.it/eza/af.cgi?aid=3509&ent=25

Now that I’ve planted that seed in your head lets move on to what ‘Affiliate Cloaking’ IS and how it will help convert more of your visitors into SALES!

‘Affiliate Cloaking’ sounds pretty obvious doesn’t it and it really is because all your doing is replacing that UGLY long affiliate URL with a nice cloaked(forwarded inside an invisible frame), professional Domain Name like the one I listed in the above example that remains ‘Sticky’.

What do I mean by ‘Sticky’?

I simply mean that the URL remains the Domain Name you chose once your visitor clicked on it and doesn’t redirect back to the UGLY long affiliate URL you started with, giving YOU, the Affiliate, a professional look in the eyes of your visitors and/or potential customers.

Is there a saying something like you can’t make money without money? Well, with the internet this is not true, you can really make money online without paying out a dime. You do have to pay for your internet service but you can get around that too. So if you think it was not possible here are some ways.

If you don’t have an internet connection try using the library. You will be limited to how much time you can use their computer so you would have to have all your work organized before you went there so you could maximize your time. Or how about friends or family, maybe you could borrow their computer.

You do not need to pay for a web site, there are a lot of free web site out there you can use. Try Squidoo, Hub Pages and Blogger as these are user friendly, rank well with Google and allow you to sell products, including affiliate products from their sites. You can make as many sites as you want with out charge.

You do not need to spend any money on products to sell, you can be an affiliate and sell other peoples stuff. Just sign up with an affiliate site like ClickBank and you will find thousands of digital products to market. Sell these through your free web sites.

How about traffic to your web sites. You will write articles about the product you are selling and submit them to free article directories where readers can click on a link at the end of your article to go to your site. All the above steps cost you nothing for making money on the internet and can really be done.
