Affiliate Cloaking… what IS it and are YOU using it is the question?

That’s right, this question apply’s to everyone who actively promotes other companys products and/or services as an affiliate or is considering it because you could be losing BIG BUCKS from your hard earned affiliate commissions because of those UGLY long affiliate URL’s that scream out… “I’m An Affiliate” and scare your visitors and/or potential customers away.

People are very funny this way online when it comes to first impressions.

As an example, which would you rather do business with?

A business with a URL like…

http://www.corys-cbmall.com

OR…

http://wetrack.it/eza/af.cgi?aid=3509&ent=25

Now that I’ve planted that seed in your head lets move on to what ‘Affiliate Cloaking’ IS and how it will help convert more of your visitors into SALES!

‘Affiliate Cloaking’ sounds pretty obvious doesn’t it and it really is because all your doing is replacing that UGLY long affiliate URL with a nice cloaked(forwarded inside an invisible frame), professional Domain Name like the one I listed in the above example that remains ‘Sticky’.

What do I mean by ‘Sticky’?

I simply mean that the URL remains the Domain Name you chose once your visitor clicked on it and doesn’t redirect back to the UGLY long affiliate URL you started with, giving YOU, the Affiliate, a professional look in the eyes of your visitors and/or potential customers.

Simply put, they wouldn’t know if you were the Affiliate or the actual owner of that website.

How’s all this possible?

Do you need to generate mobs of traffic? These days who doesn’t? Competition for traffic is tight and you need to know the secrets on how to play the game and how to generate massive traffic using forums, discussion boards and groups.

It isn’t enough to simply slap together a website and hope for the best. It used to be when the Internet first began and any keyword was hot. Times have changed and if you need traffic, then you need to think smart and go where the people are.

Forums are the places real people go to.

Think of it as you would your local mall. People go there to shop, and during holiday seasons and weekends, it can be difficult to even find a place to park. Almost any store that is set up in a good location inside the mall will do well, regardless of what they are selling. The reason is traffic and exposure.

A forum or discussion group is like a small mall of highly optimized traffic. The people that frequent a forum go there to get answers about the topic at hand, and in many cases, are willing to pay good cash to get answers and solutions.

That’s right. People congregate at these forums when they have a problem. There is a forum available for just about any topic. Health concerns, money or family problems, you name it – there is a forum out there that people go to.

They love to talk; and you will be highly accepted if you chime right in at their level and offer your valuable advice, without advertising your product right away.
