You created the most wonderful website for your new puppy which you want the whole world to see. Or you simply signed up for a membership in a blogging site and you want everyone to hear you out. Just how would you do that without spending any cash on promoting or irritating everyone with those annoying mails and popup advertisements?
It’s easy, actually. Glance at the following suggestions :
one. There’s nothing like advantageous content
Your topics should be deserving of people’s interest. They’d spend some of their valuable time reading your words and looking at the pictures. If they see senseless content then they would go look some place else. Who is to assert what is worth it to another, anyhow? What’s valuable to you may not be to your audience, so evince feedback through comments. Sometimes, it works to sensationalize but the effect is short and tough to sustain. If you aren’t a Hollywood celebrity with cult following, then forget about it. Consider the effect you need to have on folk. When one individual likes what you wrote, he’ll be certain to tell his friends and his mates will tell their friends, and such like. You will not have a massive fan base like Paris or Ashton or Kim, but you will have your loyal subscribers.
two. Originality is the key
Being original gives you a long term foundation. Just linking to what others are writing may give you visibility on that site but you simply become a broker. They would follow that site instead or spend more time in there than in yours. Now, there’s nothing wrong with networking. You may also gain from being posted in other sites, and it’s smart to pay back by posting their sites in yours. But the core content in your sites should come from you. Not everybody wants it, not everybody would consent to what you are claiming but there’s no replacement for people who do.
3. Know thy audience
There are optimal schemes to ensure excellent rankings in search results. Writing shorter articles more often about a single topic can generate more search website seeds the database servers use in indexing. Likewise, writing long articles and repeating that certain phrase would place your internet site on top of the list. But short articles limit the things you can say, and long articles are uninteresting, not to mention those incessant lines that can be irritating. Remember that you are writing for human readers, not those PCs. Write about subjects important to your intended audience and leverage on the power of social networking. Your fans become your promoters.

4. Define your reason
Why do you want to increase web traffic to your internet site? Is it because you just need to be shown on TV and be famous? Is it because you would like to impress someone or a grouping of folk? Do you want to make money? Are you wanting to reach out to your fellow homo sapiens and know that somebody somewhere agrees with you and has the same dislikes and likes? Or do you want to change the world? Is this the end in itself or simply a means to a greater end? Whatever the reason is would drive you to reach your goal.
five. Show the genuine you
Ask everybody what type of folk they hate and you’d get an almost unanimous answer : a liar. Pretentions can get you the fans you want, but not for long. And nothing is worse than losing another person’s trust. Practice what you evangelise. And write what you practice. Be true to oneself and to your readers. They’d appreciate it more.
six. Visualize the reader
Remember that there’s a live human person on the other end who is reading your blog. Write as if you are having a real discussion with him. Well, it’s more of a monologue because it’s one-way, but providing a space for comments would make it conversational.
seven. All for the greater good
in the end if you put the greater good on top of everything else, then you will gain a bigger number of readers.
