Andrew and Daryl Grant sell information products.  During their first 12 months online, they earned $250,000 – but if it wasn’t for testing and measuring their sales pages, they would not have had as much success.  Most websites don’t convert to sales well right out of the gate – simple testing will help you improve your conversions and get you more sales.

You can use a piece of software called AB Split Testing Pro or any other software that allows you to perform split testing. Split testing software allows you to test one thing at a time, and to make lots of little improvements to your site. A whole lot of small improvements add up to a big improvement overall.

Make Changes to your Headline

The first thing that you should test is the headline. If your headline is average, it doesn’t matter how good the rest of your sales material is, because people simply won’t read it. When testing your headline, test the formatting (size and colour) as well as the wording. Little things like using a capital letter at the start of each word can actually have a huge impact.

Test Your Testimonials

The next thing to test is testimonials. Having testimonials on the site will have a big impact. The way they’re presented, and where they are located are also important. Try putting them in separate boxes. Try different background colours, with and without photos. With testimonials, the more detail you have about your happy customer the better.

Change Wording and Appearance of Your Offer

Another thing you might want to test is the wording and look of your offer. How many bonuses have you added? Are they relevant? What’s your guarantee? How well does it stand out? All of these things can be tested quickly and easily using the split testing software.

Add Video and/or Audio to Sales Page

A more advanced strategy, but one you will probably find works very well, is to use audio or video on your site. This may be a message from you, or from an expert or from one of your happy customers. Again, test and measure to find out what works best.

Raise The Price of Your Product

Now here’s something that’s always worth testing— the price of your product.  You might find that by increasing the price (eg from $29 to $39), you[ll actually see an increase in sales. Sometimes more people buy a product just because it’s more expensive! It may seem illogical, but you’ll only know if you test and measure.
